Loson’s experience in the automotive industry and in the development of sensorized layers for integration in composite materials, has led us to design a precision measurement system which allows to actively gauge distance between surfaces using capacitive sensors. ICS ™ Smart Racing is designed to collect and feed real time data which can be used to optimize performance, for example effectively controlling active set-up systems, and optimize performance.

OPTIMIZING CAR SETUP Designed for use in Formula, sports racing, hyper and super cars, ICS™ Smart Racing is a turnkey, customized product, developed with our patented ICS™ technology, which can be integrated into the wings or the undercarriage of cars to precisely measure the distance from the ground and feed data to the car control system.

The density and composition of ICS™ – Modular Sensing Units installed is defined according to the task and granularity of the measure to be obtained and is carefully engineered by Loson.

BUILDING MODULAR AND SCALABLE SENSORIZED SYSTEMS ICS ™ Smart Racing is a plug-and-play measurement system, combining ICS – Modular Sensing Units and ICS Programmable Amplifiers communicating through Canbus protocol.

TECHNOLOGY THAT MAKES SENSE ICS ™ – Interactive Composite Systems is Loson’s patented technology designed to turn composite components into active sensors, to collect real time operating data.

ICS™ technology is built around a flexible array of task specific sensors, amplifiers, software and services, which can be personalized to suit different measurement needs. This technology offers a modular architecture, using individual sensors to build multisensor architectures, which can also be arranged into multilayer arrays.

FROM CONSULTANCY TO FULL SCALE PRODUCTION
All components can be bought separately for self-integration and assembly by the constructor. Loson can also provide engineering and integration for the system, complete with lamination instructions for self-production or full service consultancy to design and engineer the system, and assistance throughout production and integration phases to ensure optimal functionality and reliability up to turnkey engineering and production of the full, sensorized composite component.

Loson also maintains a continuous cooperation with its clients to monitor feedbacks and develop both technology and resulting products.
